Artist Statement
I think a great deal of what humanity strives for fundamentally amounts to attempting to create in Her likeness. Life is the teacher. We endeavor in a myriad of ways to be able to accomplish, in some part, what She has been perfecting forever.
We humans, often preoccupied, deprive ourselves of the presence of mind essential to appreciate the ever present beauty of life. I strive as a painter to paint a magical view of Life, not a fantasy, but a richer view, as if seen through new eyes. In so doing perhaps I can, in a small way, help us all touch what is beautiful in Life.
